Opening paragraph of BJW website

Barbara-Jan Wilson is retiring in December after a remarkable 36-year Wesleyan career during which she served as director of Career Planning (1982–1990), dean of Admission & Financial Aid (1990–1999), and Vice President for University Relations (1999–present). Her extraordinary contributions to Wesleyan include leadership of the THIS IS WHY campaign that raised a record-breaking $482 million for Wesleyan. As President Michael S. Roth ’78 said, “Her life’s work has been to help our university reach its full potential. She doesn’t just say ‘Go Wes’—she makes Wesleyan go.” Now, in the bottom of the ninth, what better way to honor her legacy than to raise money for Wesleyan!
